Nadir Izrael holds a degree in Graduated Summa Cum Laude. During my studies I worked on one major project in the area of simulated annealing of liquid crystals. The project was part writing a general-purpose annealing simulator for lattice based 2D and 3D models, and part researching the effect of slow and fast cooling of liquid crystals, and the phase shifts they undergo. The research explored the physics of Gay-Bernes simulation (as well as more complex models), with various Hamiltonians and approximation schemes, and the phase shifts that occur in each model. It was written in Python (with some computationally heavy code in C++ wrapped to Python). It was submitted as a paper by Dr. Joan Adler. I also worked on Quantum Computing over NMR machines, and implemented a version of the Deutsch–Jozsa algorithm on such a system at the Chemistry faculty at the Technion.
